AUGUST, Hatun Karpay in Peru
August 25- Sept 3, HATUN KARPAY IN PERU--ONLY ONCE A YEAR--Elizabeth takes a group of specially prepared PAQOS (Andean Initiates) on THIS AMAZING TEN-DAY INITIATION CEREMONY, COMPRISING 10-12 HOURS PER DAY OF RITUAL IN THE SACRED GEOGRAPHY OF THE INKAS.

Day 1:  Karpay Ayni—Reciprocal Exchange of Personal Power. We begin with the Karpay Ayni Ceremony.  A full twelve hours day long ritual beginning at the sacred geographic center of the Andean region, the central cathedral of Cuzco.  This ritual activates your INKA SEED deep inside you and begins the process of spiritual growth, Inka style.  For a detailed description please see my book, Chapter 8.

Day 2:  Wiñay—Germination.  We spend the day in the sacred valley travelling through the sacred geography of Pisaq, ending in the magical intact Inka city of Ollantaytambo to perform the ritual of Wiñay:  Germination. Here, the rituals allow us to feed our Inka seed with all the living energies of the
elements, sun, wind, earth, water, allowing it to sprout and begin to grow. See chapter 9 in my book.

Day 3: Phutuy –Flowering. We get up early for the breathtaking train ride to Machu Pikchu. We arrive to the glorious organic architecture that is Machu Pikchu--taking in this monument to the wondrous collaboration of human and nature intelligence. Here we begin our sacred work of Phutuy: flowering ritual, that will last for the next three days in Machu Pikchu. See chapter 10.

Day 4: Pachamama and Ukhu Pacha Caves: VERY EARLY WAKE UP FOR FIRST BUS.  This will be a hearty hiking day climbing down the subtropical jungle behind Wayna Pikchu to enter the cave of the Ñust’as (Inka princesses--or the healing forces of nature) and Pachamama, and the Ukhu Pacha Cave--the "Temple of the Unconsious" connecting to the feminine energies of nature in order to learn true personal power. See chapter 11.

Day 5: THE APUS. We hike up the beautiful staircase of the Inkas to the top of Machu Pikchu. Few People climb this mountain. Views are beyond spectacular. Looks impossible, but those ingenious Inkas have made it much easier than it looks. Here we ritually shed our feminine side and take on new, clean, fresh masculine energy from the surrounding Apus, mobilizing our dynamic masculine energy! (see chapter 11).

Day 6: Willkañust’a: This morning we take it easy and sleep in a little. Going down to the Urubamba (the ancient name is Willkanust’a) river to meet and work with the amazing spirit of this river. (see chapter 12). She connects ALL the ritual sites of the Andean area – from Cuzco to Macchu Pikchu to the Wiraqocha Temple. We learn to connect with the bubble of the entire river receiving and giving power to in the sacred ceremony of AYNI with the living energy of this river--known by the Inkas as the reflection on earth of the MILKY WAY.

Day 7: Wanu: Temple of Death. In Cuzco we explore the famous Qorikancha – meaning Golden Field – the central Sun Temple of the Inkas. This fantastic temple was open to the sky and once had its magnificent walls covered in planks of solid gold so that it glowed like a sun in the center of the city! This is the spiritual center of Cuzco and the place where the Inkas honoured the diverse religions of more than 52 ethnic groups that made up the Inka Empire. Here, all religious idols were honoured and given a place in the most sacred temple of the Inkas. Here we connect to the power of the QOSQO of the QOSQO. We move on to Tambomachay and a ritual to face the life after life – and like any good spiritual practice – to look death in the face.  (see chapter 13).

Day 8: Tipon. Water rituals of Unification and Purification with the Q’eros. Q’ero priests re join us for this ritual, not described in my book (well, you can’t tell everything, can you?). Our bus takes us to the magnificent temple of Tipon to contact the female spirits of the water – the young girl, the young woman, the mature woman, the grandmother. Each has her own magic and wisdom to impart and we perform a k’intu and despacho ceremony with the Q’eros.

Day 9: Wiraqocha Temple. At the top of the Andean System, this largest and most sacred temple complex is where we perform our culminating Coronation Ritual of the Inkas, linking ourselves with the ancient lineage or “Panakas” royal families of the Inkas. This is the most awe-inspiring of all the rituals (see chapter 14) and the place where the second fifth-level priest will emerge and of course where the sixth level couple will glow with a bright light, like the Inkas of old – according to Inka Prophecy.

Day 10: Pachakamaq Temple: We wake up early to catch the early flight to Lima. After stowing our baggage at the airport, we take a bus to the ancient Oracular Temple of Pachakamaq to perform a ritual of connection between the Andes and the Mama Qocha or Mother Ocean. This beautiful temple was the height of the development of the Yanantin.  Here we pull together all the ritual places of the Sacred Geography of the Inkas and create the SEQE through the MAMAQOCHA—mother ocean to make a safe sami-filled journey home, and to connect our home Apus to the sacred geography of the Inkas.

All Hatun Karpay trips include 2 days of rest, acclimatization and introductory work prior to beginning this awe-inspiring 10-day ritual. Please allow at least two weeks including travel time for this trip.

Prerequisite is 6-day INKA INTENSIVE
